Oracle Database Administrator (2 Years Experience)

We are looking for a skilled Oracle DBA with 2+ years of hands-on experience to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database installation, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and ensuring high availability and security of production systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software (11g/12c/19c and above)
  2. Monitor database performance and proactively tune SQL queries, indexes, and instances
  3. Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN
  4. Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery
  5. Handle user access management, roles, and database security
  6. Perform regular health checks, capacity planning, and space management
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, ensuring minimal downtime
  8. Apply patches, upgrades, and manage database migrations
  9. Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards
  10. Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support business needs
  11. Participate in on-call rotation for production support as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  2. 2 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments
  3. Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/19c administration
  4. Hands-on experience with RMAN backup and recovery
  5. Experience with Oracle Data Guard, ASM, and RAC (preferred)
  6. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning
  7. Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  8. Understanding of Linux/Unix OS administration basics
  9. Knowledge of database security best practices
  10. Good problem-solving and communication skills
  11. Oracle certification (OCA/OCP) is a plus
